 As can be seen in details above the Men's Singles will be played over 2 days, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th February. The Scottish Darts Association's Board of Directors did not take this decision lightly but with the best interests of ALL players and officials in mind. Everyone will agree that the venue for the Men's Singles on the Saturday was very congested. We tried using two sessions a couple of years ago and this resulted in a big improvement but did not solve the whole problem. This years Men's Singles will be played in four sessions with each game increased from best of 5 legs to the best of 7 legs.

 Mick Coonan

 It is my sad duty to report that MICK COONAN passed away peacefully at 6am on Friday, 13^th   February 2009.Mick was a stalwart of the BDO and Chairman of the Greater London Darts Organisation for over 25 years. I feel privileged to have enjoyed Mick's friendship and hospitality for nearly 20 years and know he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. My thoughts are with his wife Joyce and family.
