The 2009 Scottish Open will take place in the Normandy Cosmopolitan Hotel, Inchinnan Road , Renfrew on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February 2009.
This is a BDO Invitation list event and is open to all players who are eligible to play in the Winmau World Masters and the Lakeside World Professional Championships and also carries ranking points in the WDF World and BDO Grand Prix ranking systems.
Entry fees are Men's Singles £10.00 and Women's Singles £7.00. £1.00 of every Singles entry goes as a levy to the World Darts Federation.
Closing date for entries is 31st January 2009 and all entries should be sent to Scottish Darts Association, 4 Burns Road, Glenrothes, Fife KY6 1EB with all cheques/postal orders made payable to the "Scottish Darts Association"
Accommodation As the Normandy Hotel is already fully booked we have negotiated a special rate for the Erskine Bridge Hotel. Rate for Friday and Saturday will be £25.00 pppn sharing with a single supplement of £15.00 pppn. To receive this rate please call Carol McPherson on 0141-812-8505.
A free bus service will operate between hotels during the event.

This year's Men's Singles will again be played in two sessions, session one from 10.00am to 15.30pm, and session two from 16.00pm to 21.30pm. Both sessions will play down to last 32.
Men’s Singles will be the best of five legs of 501 in early rounds, best of seven legs in semi-finals and best of nine legs in the final. Players will 'Bull up' in deciding leg if required.

All stage finals approx. 18.00pm on Sunday 22nd.
